Rising self-taught producer/artist, Mia Carucci is ushering in a new sonic experience through their experimental sounds that are deeply rooted in their spiritual connection to Afro-Indigenous traditions of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Raised in Miami, Mia was immersed in different forms of music ranging from Southern Hip-Hop to Latin Disco. Subsequent years of curating deep cut records and DJ gigs led Mia to establish themself as a prominent DJ in LA’s club scene, appearing on Boiler Room and even opening for the Earl Sweatshirt tour and the sold-out Kali Uchis x Jorja Smith tour. Mia further captivated the art community by serving as the model and muse for contemporary fashion brands and designers.

With the release of their first EP, As Above So Below, Mia synthesizes their musical knowledge and experience within different facets of the art world into a surreal, genre-bending, and unified body of work. As Above So Below ultimately demonstrates Mia’s spiritual practice and commitment to self-decolonization. Each track incorporates themes of sexuality, faith, lack thereof and healing. The lead single, “Pomba Gira”, summons the Quimbanda queen of the night to bless one’s workings and rituals.
