RHYE has released a new music video for track, Phoenix, the second single off their latest, critically-acclaimed album, BLOOD. Directed and produced by RHYE frontman, Mike Milosh, and Geneviève Medow Jenkins, the stunning fashion-forward film tells a powerful narrative with symbolic visuals centered around change and rebirth. Watch the video here.
“’Phoenix’ is a song about rebirth,” says Milosh. “The video for ‘Phoenix’ is a representation of the storms that are needed to instigate that change, renouncing the mundane. Enough change best leads to communion with the natural world and the natural self. Change is a strong woman who comes into your life and shows you your true self. Hence, change is Phoenix.”
The Phoenix video tells a powerful story through shattering the everyday, materialistic lifestyle and transforming into one’s true self, mirroring Milosh’s private and professional life, brought on by a powerful symbol of a female character that enters like a storm alongside thoughtful allusions.
The video also features a cast of beautiful, impeccably-dressed female characters in fashion designs by OTT, Gucci, Saint Laurent, Thomas Wylde, Alexis Bittar, Armani, Yvonne Kone, Christian Siriano, Versace (vintage), Ann Demeulemeester, Pamela Love, Alice McCall and Agent Provocateur, styled by and starring model Anna Schilling.
RHYE released their widely-acclaimed sophomore album BLOOD on February 2, 2018 and is available here via Last Gang Records.
